The silkscreen lab, which has been active since 1995, is located in the Santa Maria Maggiore Men’s Prison. At most, it has four workers who are coordinated by an operator from the Cooperative. The prisoners who are interested start a path of work placement that begins with the professional training phase and concludes in real employment.

The lab produces fabric printing for customized clothing, accessories and gadgets. The raw material mostly comes from Fair Trade and the inks used are water-based and solvent-free in order to respect the environment and guarantee a product that is coherent with the chain of ethical and eco-sustainable work.

Manager for the Silkscreen Lab:
Michele Barina
